Leeds actually started the season great and had five victories and two draws, but then obviously dropped in form and have suffered three defeats in last four rounds of Championship. However, they didn’t slip much at the table still being at very high fifth position with just four points less than leaders from Cardiff, but the side needs to get back on track as soon as possible.

All three defeats came on the road, which is quite logical for them since the side plays way better in front of own fans and only victory that came in between these three defeats was at home against rock solid Ipswich. In last match played, they completely lost the ground in away game against Sheffield Wednesday suffered 3:0 defeat and surely that the only target for this clash is getting back to winning ways.

Defender Liam Cooper is back from suspension and will play inside first eleven, while central back too Pontus Jansson didn’t play during the international break for the Swedish team but should pass as fit for this one.

Reading, on the other side, is not looking well for now in the season – far away from it. They reached the play-off stage last season and actually lost the promotion to Premier League only after penalties, but it seems that the side is far away from those standards and that they will need to work a lot in order to improve in this one.

They are now on a run of six official matches without a victory, five in Championship as the side comes from a 1:2 defeat at home against Norwich two weekends ago, once again they did very little in attack and couldn’t keep their defensive lineup well and reliable. Guest opened the scoreline in tenth via Maddison, hosts replied well within couple of minutes with a goal from Moore, but once Jerome scored at the start of second halftime, players of Reading lost their morale and couldn’t answer back properly.

Forward Yann Kermogrant remains long term absentee slowly coming off from hip injury. Defensive Jordan Obita (2/0) and forward Joseph Mendes (3/0) are sidelined with injuries.

Leeds have seen under 2.5 goals in 12 of their last 14 matches against Reading.

Reading really seems to be having problems this season, especially in attack and when organizing their play. Leeds isn’t one of the favorites to promote, but the side seems very stable in front of own fans and I can’t see past home victory for the moment. Visitors should probably improve over the season, but this one will be hard for them to stay undefeated.
