Randers is looking really poor in first four rounds and knowing that they need offensive power so badly, it’s not difficult to see that the team will have some real problems to stay away from the relegation battle for now.
They took only one point so far, in the season opener against Sonderjyske, where they barelly avoided the defeat, while the side was easily outplayed in next three – in front of own fans against Copenhagen 3:0, also suffering defeats in last two matches on the road, to Midtjylland 2:1 and last weekend also on the road, against Hobro 2:0. They didn’t show much overall and are really struggling to be more concrete in attack, however must be said that their defensive lineup isn’t that poor.
Players of Hobro however did what was needed and took the victory professionally, taking the lead in 28th minute with a goal from Kirkevold, while Boge sealed the victory in 84th, when players of Randers tried to react and do something more. After four rounds played, team is at the rock bottom position with just a point earned, which is six points less than play-off and sixth placed Hobro.
Goalkeeper Frederik Due is out sidelined with injury without performing so far, while questionable for this match remains talented forward Lucas Haren, also without performing anyway this season.

Brondby, on the other side, had a really busy schedule at the start of the season, since the team was involved with Europa League qualifiers from the second qualifying round. The side failed to impress and got excluded in the third round against Croatian side Hajduk Split 2:0 on aggregate score, now being able to solely focus on their domestic duties.
Their Superliga season has started with a 4:0 victory over Midtjylland at home, while the team disappointed in second round losing out to Nordsjaelland, probably being influenced with a busy schedule, but then improved and recorded two consecutive victories – firstly at home over Lyngby 5:3 while the team really impressed last Sunday evening when they won over champions from Copenhagen 1:0.
It was a hard fought game, but must be said that Copenhagen was really defensive minded and didn’t do much in attack, deserving that defeat even though it came with a really late goal, via Tibbling in 90th minute. Guests will be able to field up their best IX here, since they have no real injury or suspension worries for this one.
Brondby IF are undefeated in their last 8 matches against Randers.
Knowing the quality of the visiting side and also that they are coming here with a boosted morale after taking the three pointer in a derby game against Copenhagen, I can’t see anything but their victory here. Randers probably isn’t poor as the table shows, however I can’t see them improving in offense against one of the best Danish sides.
